Rachel's Challenge
THS Students Are Ready for the Chain Reaction of Kindness
Posted on 08/17/2019
Rachel's ChallengeTennessee High School students were challenged to start a chain reaction of kindness Friday by the legacy of Rachel Joy Scott, the first person to lose her life in the shooting at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.

Each student in the school attended an hour-long presentation to learn how to take specific steps toward making their own positive legacy a reality. They were encouraged to examine their own lives in the light of personal challenges, to dream big, and to start their own chain reaction of kindness and compassion.

After the morning assembly, the Rachel's Challenge presenter, DeeDee Cooper, met with a smaller group of students to share specific strategies they can use to lead the student body forward in the movement.
