Coach Bob Zeiger - 1970-2020 (Tennessee High School)
Coach Bob Zeiger coached golf at Tennessee High School for 51 years, more than any other coach in the school’s history.
Zeiger coached basketball and football, but it was golf where he made his mark for the Vikings. He won multiple conference, district, and regional titles and captured a pair of state titles in 1976 and 1979. He also coached one individual state champion.
Over 51 years, Zeiger became one of the winningest golf coaches in Tennessee with 1,947 wins.
Zeiger began his career at Bluff City, where he taught for two years before joining Tennessee High. His teaching career lasted an impressive 46 years.
