BTCS/BPL Book Bus
Bristol Tennessee City Schools and Bristol Public Library come together in a collaborative effort to provide fresh reading opportunities for students of all ages, assist families in the building of age-appropriate home libraries, and help ensure that students read on grade level by third grade.
Thanks to a grant award from the Governor's Early Literacy Foundation, in 2022 the Book Bus introduced a new look! Watch for the Book Bus this summer and also at community events throughout the year. It's always a good time to read!!
Quick Book Bus Information:
- Free service to all children
- Bristol Public Library cards not required to participate
- Books do not have to be returned. All books distributed from the Book Bus are considered “forever books” and may be added to home libraries!
- Schedule is distributed in elementary schools before dismissal for the summer break, on the BTCS website, and BTCS social media sites. See Summer 2024 Schedule below:
